Transportation and Handicap Parking Permits

Transportation is important to many people in their day-to-day routine.
Until you find yourself without it, it can easily be taken for granted.

If you are in need of arranging transportation for a person with special needs, here is some information you may find useful:

The application will need to be reviewed and signed by a physician to validate necessity.



Alternative transportation available:

Sioux Falls Transit (The Bus)
  • service: pick up and drop off at various locations throughout Sioux Falls at daily scheduled times.
    They do have a "lift" to accomodate those who cannot climb the stairs onto the bus.

  • cost: $.50 per trip for persons 60+ years, medicare cardholders,
    as well as the disabled.
