The purpose of the Coalition On Aging is to serve as a common forum for individuals and organizations who are offering services to the aging in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. The Coalition will endeavor to maximize interagency communication thereby providing opportunities for increased linkages within the aging network. This organization also works to gather information on the services available for the aging in the area and promote education of these services. (back to table of contents) What is AgingLove.com? AgingLove.com is all about improving the quality of lives for our older adults. The main focus of this website is to provide information and resources to the caregivers of older adults. Many caregivers are still working, raising a family and trying to do their best to help their aging parents. Unfortunately, this does not leave a lot of time to spend searching for resources available. Opportunities to take advantage of great community projects that benefit the elderly are easily overlooked. We hope that AgingLove.com can be a starting point for caregivers to find the help that is available to them and their aging loved ones. Difficult decisions must be made with the greatest care to always preserve dignity to the highest degree possible. It is our mission to promote dignity and respect to all older adults, regardless of physical, cognitive, or social abilities. We strive to fulfill our Mission by increasing awareness, sensitivity, knowledge and understanding of issues that caregivers may encounter when loving and caring for an elderly family member or friend. We believe that making resources available on this website will help caregivers make informed decisions regarding the care of their aging loved ones. By educating and offering support, we will build a bridge between the caregivers and the resources available in our community. A bridge that leads to the absolute respect and dignity in the care of all elderly persons.
